Set up claim numbers (v1)

With the Claim Numbers setting, you can customize the prefix and suffix of the system-generated claim numbers for your company, if you are using number engine version 1 for claims.

To customize the prefix and suffix:

1. Navigate to Settings > Modules > Claims > Claim Numbers
2. In the Prefix box, type the alphanumeric characters that you want to appear at the beginning of each claim.

   Note: The Prefix box is limited to six characters.

3. In the Suffix box, type the first number you want your claims to end with. This number will increase sequentially with each additional claim.

   Note: The number must be between 1 and 100,000.

4. Select Save.

Usage considerations

The Claim Numbers setting is directly related to the number-prefix and number-suffix advanced settings. When you change the prefix or suffix in Claim Numbers, BriteCore automatically updates the number-prefix and/or number-suffix settings to match. When you change the number-prefix or number-suffix advanced setting, BriteCore automatically updates the Claim Numbers setting to match.
