Enhancements
Enhanced Functionality in SOV Policies Table for Policy Management
In the Statement of Value (SOV) download table, the policy number column now links to the policy when it's created, set to be endorsed, or already endorsed. Additionally, the details of the selected SOV are displayed on top of the table for enhanced visibility.
To improve user experience, a filter has been added to the search based on policy number and statuses and when endorsing a policy, the policy number is now displayed regardless of whether a custom policy number is set in the system or not. (BC-13708)
CoreLogic RCT Express integration for Underwriters
CoreLogic RCT Express is now integrated with BriteCore. With the integration, underwriters can now automatically provide property information to RCT Express directly from the Risk (Property) tab of a policy to request reconstruction costs and download reports. (BC-10600)
New Carrier Experience Report
The Carrier Experience report allows for in-depth analysis and insights, providing carriers with the flexibility to view policy status changes, claims changes, written and earned premium, losses and loss ratio. All of these values are visible through various levels of aggregation. In addition to the Line of Business level, insurers can explore data aggregated by: State and Line of Business; Line of Business and Year; State and Line of Business and Year. (BC-13609)
New Agency Principal Dashboard
BriteCore introduces the Agency Principal Dashboard, designed to provide agency principals and their teams with greater insights into their carrier business. This new dashboard features four key tabs: Summary, Commissions, Production, and Payments.
The Summary tab provides month-to-month and year-to-year comparisons, including a Premium Losses chart, offering a clear view of business performance. The Commissions tab makes essential commission data easily accessible, with customizable panels for sorting and filtering. The Production tab gives agency principals detailed insights into agency operations, with options for access control. Finally, the Payments tab centralizes real-time payment information, simplifying financial management.
Feedback from our early adopter program has been positive, highlighting the new dashboard's utility in streamlining agency management tasks. (BC-10377)
Loss Triangle in Claims Manager Dashboard
We are pleased to announce the addition of the Loss Triangle visualization to the Claims Manager Dashboard. This new feature provides a critical tool for understanding the development of claims over time, assisting carrier executives, actuaries, and analysts in predicting future claims liabilities. The Loss Triangle displays claims data in a triangular format, improving the analysis of future claims liabilities. BriteCore’s versatile data filtering enables users to change filters in the Loss Triangle for loss date or incurred date, line of business, policy type, and claim nature (catastrophic vs. non-catastrophic), among others. This new tool provides carriers with deeper insights into claims development and assists with strategic planning and decision-making. (BC-12941)
Defects
Policy Retrieval Issue Due to Null Policy Status
Clients have reported an issue where policies cannot be retrieved within the user interface, attributed to the policy status being set to "Null". This issue arises from a lack of validation, allowing policies to be stored without a defined status. To address this, a new validation mechanism has been incorporated, preventing the policy from being saved without a status. (BC-13627)
Improvements in NSF Payment Handling and Visualization
When processing an NSF (Non-Sufficient Funds) payment, it was observed that the reversal process is incomplete. While the Accounts Receivable on the policy correctly reflects the NSF, the payment remained unaltered in the payment log. To address this issue, enhancements have been made to the user interface to better visualize NSF payments, which now display with a crossed-out line and without the transfer button visible in the payment log. Additionally, adjustments have been made to the totals logic to exclude NSF payments from the calculation. (BC-12410)
Open Loss Report Improvements
Accuracy of the Open Loss Report is improved. Previously, the report used execution date as the default filter for selecting data. With our latest update, we have refined this process to ensure the report accurately respects and applies the specified date range. This change may result in differences in the report values, reflecting a more precise selection of the data range. (BC-13837)
