Enhancements
TigerCQ Integration for Enhanced Risk Assessment (BC-15447)
An integration with TigerRisk’s Catastrophe Quotient from Howden Re is now available in BriteCore quoting, through both BriteQuote v1 and Quote Wizard. TigerCQ provides advanced analytics, modeling, and reporting tools to help companies assess and manage their risk exposure more effectively. The BriteCore integration specifically retrieves catastrophe quotes and risk estimates, and evaluates properties against certain risk factors using two models provided by TigerCQ. The data is retrieved during quoting either automatically, or manually. For more information, please refer to the help article.
Improvement on Garaging Address of Vehicle (BC-14536)
BriteCore has enhanced the vehicle garaging address feature, allowing clients to create a new address or choose from multiple named insured addresses directly within the platform. This improvement is particularly beneficial for Commercial Auto lines, where accurate garaging addresses are essential for underwriting and rating purposes.
Effective Date Handling in Lines Config APIs (BC-14367, BC-14370)
BriteCore has introduced new API routines, specifically the Create Effective Date and List Effective Date functions, which significantly improve how users manage line configurations. These APIs enable automated updates to line configurations, which was previously a manual and time-consuming process.
Auto Quoting Wizard Now Supports Numerical Custom Fields (BC-14712)
The Auto Quoting Wizard in BriteCore has been updated to support a new “Number” field type within the lines configuration. This addition allows underwriters to input custom numerical values, such as rate factors, directly into the quoting process. These custom fields are integrated across various parts of the system, including the vehicles, drivers, and coverage pages, and are also editable within the admin builder.
Administrators Can Search by Policy Number in the Policyholder Portal (BC-14930)
In response to user feedback, BriteCore has improved the search functionality in the Administrator functions of the BriteCore policyholder portal by adding the ability to search by policy number with an exact match. Previously, search capabilities were limited to partial matches by user login, contact ID, and username. This new feature allows users to quickly and accurately locate specific policies, enhancing the overall user experience and streamlining administrative tasks.
Horizontal Scrolling on Policy Action Navigation Bar (BC-15008)
In order to accommodate more action icons in the Policy Action buttons, a horizontal scroll bar was implemented in the infrequent times when screen real-estate is insufficient to fit all the action buttons. The scroll bar remains visible on the screen to indicate that action buttons may be available to the left or to the right of the visible buttons.
Generate Letters with NCF Reference Numbers (BC-15356)
The LexisNexis NCF reference number is now available to the Custom Documents generation engine. This important enhancement allows carriers to generate insurance score letters required in certain states, informing insureds that their credit score was obtained and used for rating purposes (in compliance with FCRA regulations). Providing insureds with their NCF reference number enables them to obtain their credit file and, should they wish to do so, contest the contents of their credit report, as required by law.
Enhancement to retrieveNotes API - Addition of enteredById (BC-14808)
In this release, BriteCore has enhanced the retrieveNotes API by adding the enteredById field to the Notes data model. This new identifier provides a unique reference for users, addressing issues where duplicate names or emails exist, or where names and emails have changed over time (e.g., maiden to married names). This enhancement is particularly crucial for organizations that need to comply with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) controls, enabling better correlation of user, role, and permission data with user actions.
Claims From Third-Party Data Providers Now Available For Rating (BC-14700)
BriteCore has enhanced the rating process by expanding access to claims data, thereby improving rating precision. Previously, rating accuracy was limited due to restricted access to claims data. With this enhancement, the rating engine now incorporates data from third-party vendor services, Insured Disclosure entries, and BriteCore-generated claims. This enriched data includes claims history, payment amounts, last claim dates, and peril information, leading to more accurate and consistent rating decisions.
Defects
Agency Experience Report Emailing to Users Regardless of Settings (BC-15453)
BriteCore has fixed a defect where the Agency Experience Report was being emailed to users regardless of whether or not the checkboxes for "Email Agency Experience PDFs" were selected.
Automated Renewals Remain Uncommitted with Incorrect Error Message (BC-14948)
BriteCore users encountered an error message stating: “The renewal process for policy [Policy Number] failed to complete (year-mo-day). System message: System Renewal Revision was not created because of the existence of an uncommitted, manually-created Renewal Revision. You must manually commit this revision.” This defect in the overnight processing failed to commit the renewal revision and displayed an incorrect error message. The issue has been resolved, and BriteCore now automatically generates and commits renewals during nightly processing.
Inconsistent Updates of Auto Insurance Scores and Score Timestamps in Quote Process (BC-14753)
In this update, we've addressed issues related to the insurance score retrieval during the quote process. Previously, agents were able to proceed with quotes using outdated scores, leading to discrepancies in score timestamps and validation errors. With this fix, agents will now be prompted to pull a new insurance score when initiating a new quote, ensuring accurate and updated timestamps. Additionally, validation has been strengthened to prevent continuation if discrepancies in score data exist.
