Enhancements
Improved Form Attachment Naming in Attachments Folder (BC-16524)
A new setting has been added to enhance form visibility in the Attachments folder. Users can now configure form attachment names to display as Form Code + Edition, Description only, or Form Code + Edition + Description. This improvement helps users to identify the relevant forms during underwriting and claims processing quickly. This new setting is found via: Settings → Modules → Policies → Attachments Section.
Note that when changing the configuration, only forms generated from that point forward will use the setting. All forms generated prior to that will retain the name they had previously.
Added Check Number Visibility in Return Premium Account History (BC-16519)
Agents and administrators can now view the check number under the Paid To field within the Account Receivables page in the account history table for Return Premium. The check number remains visible even when a return premium (RP) is voided, providing improved transparency.
New Data Fields Added to CEO,Agency Principal, and Underwriter Manager dashboards (BC-16513,BC-16514)
BriteCore has enhanced the CEO and Agency Principal dashboards by adding frequently requested data fields to the dashboards, for viewing, sorting and filtering. The two additional fields in the CEO and Agency Principal dashboards are state and policy type. BriteCore also added a new field/column for Underwriter in the Underwriter Manager dashboard.
Prevent deletion of Custom Fields in use by reports (BC-16153)
In the context of the custom field mapping dialog, used with the Month End Close Package,, BriteCore now validates whether a custom field is in use by a report before allowing its deletion. If the field is currently referenced by a policy or form, the system prevents removal. This check ensures data integrity and reduces potential errors caused by missing fields.
Defects
Integration Update for Mutual Inspection Bureau (MIB) (BC-16754 & BC-16495)
The Mutual Inspection Bureau (MIB) integration has been updated to resolve the "Exceeded Response Size" error. The system now successfully retrieves inspections without issues.
Agency Contact Information Page Update (BC-16659)
Canceled policies were incorrectly being displayed as Active within the Agency’s contact Information page, has been resolved. The query has been updated to ensure the system retrieves the latest policy revision for accurate status display.
Underwriter Contact Selection Issue Resolved (BC-16657)
An issue causing the system to fail in finding existing underwriter contacts when processing revisions has been fixed. This occurred due to a case-sensitive role name mismatch. The role filter has been updated to use the correct case ("Underwriter") to ensure accurate search results.
API Validation Enhancements in the create_quote_extended API (BC-16291)
Two issues have been addressed to improve data validation and accuracy when using the create_quote_extended API:
- Issue 1: The create_quote_extended API did not properly validate underwriting questions, leading to incorrect rates. This has been corrected to match the same validation standards as the BriteCore user interface.
- Issue 2: The create_quote_extended API failed to calculate line items correctly due to undefined default limits and improper handling of underwriting rules (UWR) validation. The system now sets default limits where necessary and returns validation errors when UWR fails, preventing incorrect policy creation.
These changes ensure consistency and accuracy between API and user interface processes.
Improved File Upload Performance in Claims Attachments (BC-16260)
Clients reported delays when uploading files to the Claims Attachments section, even for small files of various types. This issue has been resolved by updating the system to use the new document publishing event, ensuring faster and more reliable uploads for claims adjusters.
Supplemental Questions Validation Updated for Multi-Property Quote Submissions (BC-16105)
Supplemental Questions validation during quote submission has been updated to address issues with multi-property policies. Previously, agents encountered non-applicable questions due to incorrect logic, such as being asked for realtor and price details despite selecting "No" for Recent Purchase. Additionally, refreshing the page caused validation inconsistencies. The Supplemental Questions logic validation is now implemented in the backend using the rules engine to ensure proper functionality across multi-property scenarios.
Custom Fields Improper Format Conversion Caused Report Failure (BC-16622)
BriteCore has addressed and fixed an issue where the Month End Close Package report failed to execute if invalid formats were specified in Custom Field Mapping. Now even if invalid formats are specified and report will complete and report values.
