Enhancements
Calculate Deductibles with Evaluations (BC-14479)
BriteCore recently extended the category type Deductible to support Python code evaluation. This Python code will access the same context as evaluation rate chain items. Previously, coverage Deductible fields could only be derived independently or from deductible groups, whereas Coverage Limits could be populated using Python code to evaluate and calculate values (“evaluations”), such as the Vehicle Stated Value.
Added support for Commercial Freight Companies (BC-14449)
BriteCore has introduced a new feature that allows for the conditional collection and display of extra information for organizations, including US DOT #, State MC #, and MC #. Based on specific configurations, these fields will conditionally appear in the Contacts module, in Quote Wizard’s Additional Interest and Named Insured sections, and the Admin pages. This enhancement ensures that only relevant information is collected and displayed as needed. Notably, these fields will not be shown for premium finance companies, maintaining a clean and relevant interface for all users.
Performance improvements on Pending Agent Commissions page (BC-13779)
As part of a comprehensive and ongoing performance improvement project, BriteCore enhanced the performance Agent Commissions Report table in the Pending Agent Commissions page. The performance of this page was unnecessarily tied to the number of agents in the system. As a result of this enhancement, the time to open the page dropped from 1-10 minutes, depending on the number of agents, to now approximately 6 seconds.
Add "Binder-Active" as New Policy Status (BC-15195)
BriteCore has added a new “Binder-Active” policy status for commercial policies. Commercial insurance carriers use subjectivities to set conditions that must be met for a policy to be officially issued. Even while these conditions are pending, the risk is covered and insureds can submit claims starting from the policy's effective date. Once all subjectivities are satisfied and the underwriter approves, the policy is officially issued, and updated declarations with the subjectivity clauses removed replace the binder and are sent to the insured. This process only applies to new business policies. The policy’s content and rating remain unchanged unless an explicit endorsement is made. This state is identified as "Binder-Active" status.
Returning Prorated Annual and Written Premiums in “Quote” APIs (BC-15238)
For additional utility when using BriteCore’s quote-related APIs, the following “quote” endpoints have been enhanced to return annual_premium_pro_rata and written_premium_pro_rata values. This enhancement applies to the following APIs:
- Create Full Quote
- Rate Full Quote
- Issue Full Quote
- Bind Full Quote
- retrieve Full Quote
- Modify Full Quote
Policy Term Expirations Report now includes the Underwriter Name (BC-14295)
The Policy Term Expirations report now includes the Underwriter assigned to each policy.
Enhance FNOL policy selection to remove page refresh (BC-14717)
BriteCore enhanced the FNOL policy selection process so that the UI component updates properly without a full page reload. Previously, when a policy was selected or an existing FNOL page was opened, the page refreshed to update the component with the new policy data, causing unnecessary page reloads and impacting the user experience. This page refresh interrupted the workflow and led to a less smooth user experience due to the frequent reloads. .
Defects

Previously, when CLUE was pulled after updating driver information, the accident dates shown in the pop-up were one day off. We have now fixed the accident dates listed in the popup.
