Button
Purpose
The View Address-Based List button allows users to search and locate policies by entering a portion of an address as search criteria.
Location
When you set the advanced setting enable-new-policy-search to True, the View Address-Based List button appears on two screens:
- Policies
- Legacy Search
If you set the advanced setting enable-new-policy-search to False, the Legacy Search screen will load as the default Policies screen.
Field default
By default, BriteCore displays the View Address Based List button with different information depending on the screen:
- Policies screen: Policy Number, Named Insured, Policy Type, Status, Effective Date, and Review State (if the advanced setting show-review-state-column is set to True).

Change the default
When you select View Address-Based List, the policy list columns change and the View Address-Based List button changes to View Policy-Based List. BriteCore then displays the following information on each screen:
- Policies screen: Policy Number, Address, City, State, Zipcode.

Usage considerations
The View Address-Based List button can’t be customized and behaves the same in the Provider Administrator and Agent portals. To search by address, select View Address-Based List and use the Search for a Policy box or Search box to enter criteria.
