Column
Purpose
With the Effective Date column, users can sort the policy list by the effective date of the policy in chronological order and reverse chronological order.
Location
The Effective Date column appears on the Policies search screen.
Field default
By default, the policy list is arranged by the date policies are initially added to BriteCore, in reverse chronological order.

Usage considerations
The Effective Date column behaves the same in the Provider Administrator and Agent portals. The advanced setting enable-new-policy-search must be set to True and the policy-based list must be open to sort by Effective Date. If the policy list is sorted by another column, select the Effective Date column to override the policy list arrangement and sort by the effective date.
